Day 2 : Tuesday 31st December
Activity 3 : Hidden figures

To me I thought that this app was really good, although it did get very hard and difficult to understand what the coding app had wanted for me to do. The coding was very and I enjoyed playing it very much although the explanations should be a bit more clear and simple for people (like me) to understand. I was able to reach up to level 6 but only completed up to level 5.

It may not seem like a challenge but something challenging (for me) that I had overcome was when I overcame the hate of others. When I say that I "overcame the hate of others" its mainly about how I didn't let the fact that people bullied me ruin the love and joy I liked to spread and show. Growing up I wasn't showed such love and appreciation (from people at school) that many people show me now days, but it was still very hard for me to let the past go and move forward. When I would get bullied by the other girls and boys I would really hate myself and I would wonder why am I so different? why do they pick on me like I don't have thoughts and feelings as well. Although as time went on I realised that everyone is different and that if I let the past affect my future then I wont get anywhere in life. After a year or so just doing my own thing, many kids would still have smart remarks about the things I did and was doing but I didn't let it stop me from reaching my goals. Even though none of then apologised to me personally I made sure to let them know that what they did to me was not ok, and now every time they talk or interact with me I talk like nothing happened because I know that they feel bad for what they did and I know that if I keep bringing up the past I will ever grow as a person. In some of the hardest moments of my life I learnt to forgive the people who brought me the most pain and right now, they are some of my greatest friends. To me, forgiving them was one of the most challenges I had ever overcome.

Image result for the starry night

The lovely painting "The starry night", painted by Vincent Van Gogh is very popular. When I look at the painting I see many tiny houses and a few Mountains, as well as a sky that looks to have had much thought into creating. The way the sky was created looks very strange and odd but its really what captures my attention when looking at the painting. When looking at the sky, the whiteness looks like the clouds swirled up and the yellow dots look like they represent the Moon and stars, and how bright they shine in the night sky. What also captures my attention is the black figure that takes up a good amount of the painting, to me it looks like black flames, but I'm not too sure what it really is or represents.

Activity 3 : Apple vs Microsoft

Image result for coke vs pepsiRelated image Image result for all blacks vs australia

The 3 rivalries I have found are coke vs Pepsi, McDonald vs burger king as well as all blacks vs Australia. Coke and Pepsi are two very popular soda (fizzy) company's that have been battling for many years trying to take the number 1 spot (while also battling many other company's as well). Its not too clear who is involved but the two franchises are always trying to "one up" each other while also coming in with something new when the other has made a mistake or when the other is failing. Although personally I choose Coke over Pepsi any day. The other franchises that have been going head to head, battling it out for the number one spot would have to be McDonald's vs Burger King. McDonald's and Burger King are two very popular fast food franchise. I also could not find out who is mainly involved but, these two company's have also been trying to "on up " each other as well. For example they try to keep coming up with better adds, bringing in many celebrities to catch the eyes of young people to make them want to go to their food franchise even more. The other rivalries would be Australia vs All blacks. These two teams have also been versing each other for the number one spot, but unlike the other company's these two teams battle each other physically in a game of Rugby. These two teams are involved, battling each other when ever they get a chance.

If I was to ever create a YouTube channel I don't think I would post certain types of videos. I think my channel would be filled of many funny and random videos. Vlogs of my day, me trying something new or even me eating foods (which is what many people are into these days). The main thing I would make sure everyone knows about my YouTube channel is, is that it is a family friendly channel made for fun and memories to be shared and watched.

The random act of kindness I did was help these little boys get their ball from the deep side of the pool. Today I went to the pools and while I was there I met two little boys trying to swim to the deep end to get their rugby ball. I ended up telling them it was too dangerous for them to try (because I could see that they did not know how to swim) and get the ball. I then proceeded to swim over and get the rugby ball and give it to the boys. They were very happy and grateful and I also felt happy and proud that I was able to help them out today.

ways we could support the people who are affected by the fires in New South Wales (Australia) is:

1. hold a fundraiser and send all the money to the people affected
2. get them basic necessities like toothpaste and soap (ect), so they don't need to worry about simple necessity when they lost everything.
3. make comfort food baskets. filled with lots of foods and drinks for the families to eat.
4. Gather gift cards to send. gift cards for foods, clothes and even furniture (for when they get another house)
5. Write a sympathy letter to the family

For this activity I went to my lovely older sister. It may seem weird to why I would choose her but my sister is a strong and wise person. The groups I have chosen are the Maya people and the Aboriginal Australians. Two interesting facts I learnt about the Maya people is that there are more than 6 million Maya (people) currently live in mesoamercia and that there are 30 different Mayan languages. For the Aboriginal Australians the two interesting facts I learnt is that Australia’s first people or also known as the "aboriginal Australians", have lived on the continent for over 50,000 years and for the second fact I learnt that Aboriginal Australians are split into two groups, the Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islander peoples. (aboriginal people are related to those who already inhabited Australia when Britain began colonising the island in 1788, and Torres Strait Islander People who descend from residents of the Torres Strait Islands, a group of islands that is part of modern-day Queensland, Australia.

In my poster i was sure to add the Maori and English versions of the Whakatuaki . I also created a simple family tree, travelling from my grandparents to me (none of my siblings or my parents siblings were included). I dont know too much about my family tree but I went back as far as I could to show where some of my strengths and talents came from. I also added in some online photos of the older generations passing down some skills to the young ones, for example a father and grandfather teaching son/grandson to fish.

(I don't think I've ever written a review before, I don't even know what a review is)

Over the years I've read many many books, and I've enjoyed almost all of them. Today I'll be writing about a book that I've only read recently but has quickly become one of my favourites, and the title of this book is"the absolutely true diary of a part time Indian". The book is about a young native Indian who is trying to find his "hope". The boy, known as Junior, was born on a Reservation where all his friends and family grew up, in the book he tells us about his experience on the Reservation and how he copes when everything goes bad. We then follow him on his journey to a different school, a richer school. The book talks about many things like family, racism, violence, alcohol, death, dreams, love and even poverty. I love this book for many reasons and I would 10/10 command this book to anyone who wants to read it.

Today is the 25th of December and if you don't know what that means, ITS CHRISTMAS!!!!. Every year when I was growing up we always had a Christmas tree and some presents. Although as time went on, and we grew older the Christmas spirit in my family slowly died to the point where we would do nothing at all. When the clock struck 12 at midnight I decided that today I would make try bring back the Christmas spirit we grew up with. We didn't have much but with someone old fairy lights I had, I made a little tree on the wall (looks similar to the second photo). Although instead of a start I added a photo of me, but they are basically the same thing. I went sleep and woke up at 10, after waking up I decided to get dressed into a green and red tutu, with a red long-sleeve and a Santa hat. It wasn't the best costume but it was really fun to see everyone reaction, my family started calling me the elf of our family. I then decided to make lunch for everyone and with the help of my older sister we decorated the table and called everyone to the kitchen. Even though it wasn't much and we didn't get any presents this year, the fact that I had all my family there was good enough. It's not whats under the Christmas tree that matters, its who's around it! I'm really enjoying my Christmas this year and I know that I brought back the Christmas spirit to my little family.

Rosa Parks, an American woman with the dream and soulful will to make things for everyone equal. The problem was the fact that the law was bias, and even though they claimed to have created the Jim Crow Law's so both coloured and non coloured people would be treated equal that was not so. The coloured and white people were treated differently, for example the black citisens were given less opportunity's than the white people and they would also get in trouble with the law for silly reasons. Rosa Parks joined a group with her husband working towards putting an end to discrimination and segregation, known as NAACP. On December 1st 1955 Rosa Parks finished a long day of work and took the bus home as usual. As the bus got full there were not seats left, so when a white male boarded the bus she was demanded to remove from her seat and Rosa being a strong woman refused because she knew that she was being mistreated, and because of herself not moving she was taken to jail which ultimately resulted in a large protest by the other coloured people. After telling the court how the law was unfair and long protest, (the busses losing lots of money due to the fact that 70% of their passengers were coloured people), the supreme court ruled that the Jim crow laws were "unconstitutional" which made many coloured people happy but all the white people more angry than usual. Rosa lived a long life, still fighting for peoples rights wherever she could.

On the 27th of September I was apart of the climate change strike that happened in Auckland. When reading from the site I was pretty familiar with everything but the 3 things I found out were their demands. They asked that :

1. No new coal, oil and gas projects, including the Adani mine.
2. 100% renewable energy generation & exports by 2030
3. Fund a just transition & job creation for all fossil-fuel workers & communities.

Dear DiaryDay : 730

Today is my second year in the Robben Island Prison. Today was the same as yesterday and will most likely be the same as tomorrow, but my spirits are high and I know I can overcome this. Waking up this morning was nothing different to how I woke up yesterday morning. The damp stench attacking my nose and the straw mat they call my bed getting thinner and thinner the more I rest on it. Breaking rocks was always the hardest part of the day, standing in the scorching hot sun all day feeling like your skin is going to melt off is not nice, but today was the day I received mail and a visitor. It was currently 6 months after I got my last letter and visitor and I couldn't wait to see my wife. She looked as beautiful as the last time I saw her. I studied a little tonight due to the guard turning off the light and the clouds covering the moonlight. I’ll be free one day, and when I'm free I won’t stop fighting for what is right.

Day 1 : Monday 23rd December
Activity 3 : Dear Jacinda

Image result for no to smoking

Dear Jacinda,

I know that Jacinda would most likely never read this but if she does I would want her help on banning cigarettes. I've chosen to ask Jacinda to ban cigarettes because it has so many negative affects on people. As you know cigarettes are what many people smoke and although they say its a "stress reliever" its very unhealthy for the lungs, and if people smoke often then they are most likely to develop lung cancer. Cigarettes are also somewhat expensive, so most people waste their money on smokes leaving not enough money for food or gas. For example a pack of 25 (Pall malls) would usually cost from $25 to $27 dollars, that much money is enough to buy 4 milk and 7 bread. Now that's a lot, but most people can't afford it after buying smokes that they are so addicted to (only because of the nicotine in it). This is a really important issue because it not only affects many peoples lives in and outside of my community but (sometimes) in my own family. So Jacinda, I hope I was able to persuade you to ban cigarettes.

Activity 1 : Playing favourites

My top 5 favourite things to do might seem a little boring to most people but I love them very much. The top 5 favourite things I like to do is eat, sleep, listen to music, go on the netbook and hang out with friends. I like eating because it makes me happy and gives me lots of energy throughout the day. I love sleeping because it not only helps with my looks but after a good night sleep it makes me feel like a brand new person when I wake up. I also love to listen to music because its like the key to another world, when I listen to music it helps me stay calm and happy which is a big help now that I'm in college. Going on my netbook is also one of my favourite things to do because I not only get to do work on it but I also get to watch movies and just have some "me" time (talking to friends, watching YouTube videos ect). Hanging out with friends also makes me happy, but thats not the only reason why I love it. Its one of my favourite things to do because we always seem to create amazing and funny memories which makes life really great.

Activity 3 : Own choice

Image result for lorena galiki

I know of many famous people who get acknowledged for their good deeds in changing the world, but today I want to acknowledge someone who I think has been very helpful over the years. This woman's name is Lorena, I know this because she is my mother. I'm very proud and honoured to say that to me she is a change-maker. My mother is a social worker, and is very dedicated to her job. With her job she has to help many people who have been wronged or have experienced something very traumatic. My mother helps then not only mentally, by calling them and making sure that they are ok (and other things), but she also helps out physically. She meets up with her clients for lunches, helps clean homes and sometimes even gives them clothes and food. My mother not only does great in her job by working over time to make sure that her clients find their justice and closure, but she is also amazing help outside of her job too. She donates her time and money to people in need, she even drove around at 3 in the morning looking for a man that went missing. She did it because she has such a big and kind heart. You many not think my mother is a change-maker but with every path she has ever crossed she always finds a way to help them out. My mother may not be changing the world on the biggest scale, but shes helping when and where she can, doing it one person at a time.

Activity 2 : Swimming safety

Day 5 : Friday 20th December
Activity 2 : Swimming safety

Image result for yusra mardini

The photo I have inserted above is of a very brave and heroic girl, who's swimming skills saved 16 people. Her name is Yusra, born in Syria she was living an ordinary life until she was 13. When Yusra was first encountered the water she was very scared and nervous, but more importantly she was excited. As time went on she not only overcame her fear of the water, but it basically became her new best-friend. She loved the water so much she would compete in swimming competitions, and with the help of her dad training her and her older sister she was "winning competitions left and right". Growing up Yusra did swimming constantly, until one day she discovered that the gym where she did her swimming was bombed. As time went on Yusra and her family kept seeing how bad and violent everything was getting in their country and at the age of 14 Yusra begged her mother to consider running away with her family, but fleeing with all 5 (Yusra, her mother, father, eldest and youngest sister) of them would be too dangerous her mother concluded. Then one day when no one was home, their neighbourhood was bombed and Yusra's home was unfortunately destroyed making them lose everything. That's when her mother came to her with a plan, she had discovered that her two nieces were going to make the long trip to Europe and suggested that Yusra and her sister follow along. Taking nothing more than a phone, clothes and money for smugglers on the day she left Yursra hugged her family goodbye and set off with her sister, cousins and a small group of others to Europe. The plan was to flee and find shelter in Berlin Germany, where Yusra hoped she could finally swim again. First they went to Beirut in Lebanon, then to Istanbul in Turkey. The growing and growing fear of getting caught by the police which if caught they might get sent back to Syria. From Istanbul they made their was south to where they met up with smuggles who agreed to help them in exchange for money, they were to help Yusra and everyone she was with get across the waters to the Greek Island known as Lesbos. Yusra and the others hid in the forest waiting for the right moment to leave the coast, but as they embarked on their first travels, they were stopped by the Turkish coast guards almost as soon as they set off. Returning back, they in the forest again and when night fell they started the motor and pushed everyone out to sea. little by little they got further and further away from the island until tragedy struck. out of no where the motor made a strange sound and then started to slow down, to the point where it just stopped. Then little by little the boat started to fill with water, as the water reached Yusar's ankles she knew she couldn't die there, even when shes such a strong and amazing swimmer. Yusar, her sister and 2 others jumped overboard and swam for over 3 hours, pushing and pulling the boat, and at one point even thinking they were not going to make it. Thats when they saw it, the coastline of the Lesbos Island getting closer and closer, to where they were able to get out of the boat and pull it to shore. From there they traveled north from country to country, crossing boarders however they could. After sneaking across the boarder to Hungary, they were captured by the Hungarian police and were taken to a refuge camp. Upon travelling to the camp the sisters looked at each other and burst out laughing, when the Hungarian police wanted to know why, they responded with more laughter. Yusra just thought to herself "We were going to die in the sea and you think we should be afraid of you?", once ariving to the camp the sisters made a run for it as soon as they saw an opening. After a month long trip, across nine different countries Yusra made it safely to Berlin. She slept on the ground for months after arriving to a refuge camp in Berlin, but she felt safe and wondered upon the rumour of a swimming club. Yusar decided to try out for the team, which was one of the best places for young swimmers to train. Yusar not having trained in 2 year was a bit rusty and unfit, but the coach could tell that there was something special about her. Yusar swam day in and day out, 6am she would wake up just to get in some swim time before school and once her classes were done, she went right back to the pools. Her coach had high hopes for her to swim in the Olympic in 2020, but Yusra surprised everyone when she was chosen to joing the first ever refuge Olympic team in 2016. Yusar was one of 10 refuges to be chosen for the team, she was placed in the 100 meter butterfly race and was the only team member in her preliminary heat, and SHE WON. Unfortunately she wasn't able to get a medal at the 2016 Olympics but fortunately she has her sights set for gold in 2020.

Activity 1 : National Treasure

Image result for what do you treasure

When thinking of things that I treasure many things do come to mind, but if I was only to choose 3 it wouldn't be very hard to pick. I treasure many materialistic things, like my phone and PlayStation but the main one would have to be my "overall excellence award 2019" that I received during a camp I went to in March this year (2019). This award was given to basically the overall best student at camp, and although being in a large group of 30 they chose to give the award to me which was a real honour. Another thing I treasure would have to be my netbook. I treasure my netbook because its the key to my learning. It might sound strange that my netbook is the key to my learning, but now that my school is basically a technology based school, its hard for me to do work when i don't have my netbook (even with the provided computers). The last thing I treasure is nothing materialistic, its the thing that fills my heart with so much joy and makes me feel so safe and secure. That thing would have to be my family. I love and treasure my family just as much as they love and treasure me, they have been a big help to the person I have become today and without them I don't think I would be typing this.

My name, given to me by my fabulous mother is a very lovely name. I was named after my great grand-mother on my fathers side, which is a real honour for me, but if I was ever allowed to change my name it wouldn't be so hard to choose. Growing up my name was always mocked, and although "Limiteti" is a beautiful name many kids did not know the proper tongan pronunciation, so when thinking of a new name I've had lots of time to do so. When I was younger I always wanted to change my name Sophia or Emma, because they sounded like really cute girl names that all the boys would love. Although right now its a bit different, I'm older now and I know what I would want to change my name to, it wouldn't be a very big change but I would have to choose the name "Lorena". There is only one reason why I would change my name to Lorena is because it belongs to the most strongest person I've ever known. That woman being my very own, lovely and amazing mother.

Activity 1 : Making a racket

For me by watching the videos I was able to learn so many things, things like how Serena and Venus are two very popular and high payed tennis players. I also learned that these two talented players are SISTERS! and that they are some of the most richest athlete women payed. Serena coming 1st and Venus coming 5th for highest payed women athletes. I also learnt from the sisters that men and women in the tennis industry don't get equal opportunities, for example in some tournaments they wont get equal pay. Something id still want to know is what are they doing right now to help with getting equal pay for men and women, and if they arent currently doing anything then what are they planning on doing to help get equal pay?.

3 things I found out:
1. Serena and Venus are sisters
2. They are both some of the highest payed women athletes (Serena coming 1st and Venus coming 5th
3. Men and women are not treated the same in the athletic industry

Something I still want to know:
1. What are they doing right now to help with getting equal pay for men and women
2. what are they planning on doing in the future to help get equal pay for men and women.

Playing for the Illawarra hawks, Lamello Ball is a very famous basketball player, with over 5 million Instagram followers he is not only a basketball player but an influencer as well. If I was given the chance to interview him I would ask him these 5 questions. the first question would be "what inspired you to become a basketball player", the second would be "if you were to choose any other career pathway, what would it be?". Then I would ask "if you were able to switch your current team, what team would you switch to?", my fourth question would be "are you planning on leaving the basketball industry any time soon?", and for my final question I would ask him "what are 3 things you believe people need to be successful.

My 5 Questions:

1. What inspired you to become a basketball player
2. If you were to choose any other career pathway, what would it be?
3. If you were able to switch you current team, what team would you switch to?
4. Are you planning on leaving the basketball industry any time soon?

If I was a superhero
Limi's story

If I was a superhero and had to choose 3 super powers of my choice it would be very easy. One superpower I would choose would have to be invisibility (the power to go invisible), I would want that super power because it would help me when sneaking up on "bad guys", giving me the advantage to capture them with ease. Another superpower I would have would be to read minds, I would have this superpower so that when questioning "bad guys" I would know if the person is lying or not, and the last superpower I would have, would to have super speed. I would want super speed because if I was chasing after "bad guys" I would be able to catch up to them really fast.

1. Invisibility
2. Read minds
3. Super speed

The day I helped my friend
Limi's story

When I was younger I made a really big decision which I, and many other people thought was very brave. When I was in primary (year 5 or 6)  it was the time of the year where we had to run laps around our local area for school. On that day I decided to run with my friend Heather. Heather and I were good friends so when I had the opportunity to keep her out of danger I did. our school being on top of a little hill, we raced up with all our might. Being really tired Heather made her way in front of me. Almost to the school gate she ran faster, and so did I, then all of a sudden I saw it. A car at full speed was reversing out of its driveway without looking, and my friend didn't even know. That's when I knew I had to do something, I knew that if I yelled out to her it would be too late so instead I leaped ahead and pushed her out of the way. Unfortunately I was hit by the car and only suffered minor injuries, but I was able to save my friend from getting hurt and I gained a cool story.

For this activity I have chosen to write a Haiku poem.

Landing on the moon
It felt like a trampoline
I felt so honoured

Activity 1: Flying Solo - Day 2

Day 2 : 17 December 2019 - Up in the air
Activity 1 : Flying solo

Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart are two famous women know both for their great achievement of being first women to complete some amazing solo flights, that no one had ever yet achieved. Although although both women being solo flyer, Jean batten was well known for her several-record breaking solo flight and was also the first ever person to fly solo from England to New Zealand, while Amelia Earhart was known for being the first ever woman to complete a non-stop solo flight from Canada to Ireland. While Jean and Amelia both made their success during the 1930's, Amelia's travels were cut short due to her sudden disappearance by the Howland island in 1937 (aged 39) , while Jean lived a life where parties where thrown in her honour till she also passed away in 1982 (aged 73). Jean Batten being born in NZ and Amelia Earhart being born in America, have both brought great pride and honour to their countries and will both be remembered for their amazing achievements.

The SPCA is a very popular charity that handles with animals in many local areas. This organisation helps with many things like, animal cruelty prevention, animal rescue and even animal justice. Not only do they help animals, but they also help educate most of the community too. For example on their website provides a "SPCA kids education portal" which was a program designed to educate young kids to support children’s learning about animal welfare and responsibility towards animals, whilst developing children’s respect, understanding and compassion for all living creatures. animal rehabilitation is also another thing that the SPCA does, which helps with providing animals with essential care and medical care to animals in need, while also doing routine health check ups, vaccination, desexing and other useful things. Although I have only named only a few things that the SPCA charity helps with, you can find out many more information on their site: SPCA site

Activity 2: Discovering Aotearoa

Day 1: Monday 16th December
Activity 2 : Discovering Aotearoa

For the 15 years that Ive been alive I have proudly represented my cultural sides. Although I was born in NZ my great grandparents came from the islands (just like Kupe).

On my mothers side I come from a small Island called Niue and on my fathers side a more popular island called Tonga. A very small village in Niue called Hakupu is where my grandfather was born, but as time went on he eventually moved to NZ, met my grandmother and had my mother. the youngest of 7. Although life was a bit different for my father and his parents. My grandparents met on the Island of Tonga, where they had 3 kids, my father being the second eldest, they lived in Kolomotu'a for a number of years after the birth of my father, then at the age of 5 my father moved with his parents to NZ. In 2004, many years after my mother and father met, my mother gave birth to her 3rd child... Me.

Activity 1: Setting sail - Day 1

Day 1: Monday 16th December - Explorers
Activity 1 : Setting sail

If I was ever invited to join Nainoa for 3 weeks at sea, i would be super excited but still really scared. For food I would pack me Apple, Bananas and oranges, good amounts of apple and bananas but mostly oranges because they are not only nutritious but they can also last a long time. I would also take bottles of water, because water is a basic living necessity which we all need, even though we will be surrounded by water, it wouldn't be the best idea to drink that, so by taking water I can stay hydrated and also they can last longer than 3 weeks. I would also take some canned foods like spaghettibaked beans and (canned) fruit salad, because like my other choices they last a good amount of time until opened or eaten and they don't need a refrigerator or freezer. Other foods i would bring are nuts (also the ones with dried fruits), like almonds or cashews because they not only also have lots of nutrition but you can get lots that will last a long time. The last 2 things I would take would have to be packs of noodles and packs of chips, I chose these last two because like every other thing they last a very long time and because they are very yummy.

Every food choice i have chosen was because they have a good amount of expiration date (or when they rot) and because they would give me a good amount of energy. Not only that but they would be nice to eat during a long 3 weeks at sea.
My food list:
1. Apples
2. Bananas
3. Oranges
4. Water
5. Spaghetti
6. Baked beans
7. Nuts
8. noodles
9. chips
10. fruit salads (canned)

Chalk it out

In todays lesson we did a practical, by doing this practical it positively affect my mental/emotional, social, physical and spiritual well-being. I was pretty happy and excited to finally get out and do a practical with my class (Mental and emotional well-being), as we did the activity we were all communicating to each other and helping out when needed, which made our bond grow stronger as a class (Social well-being). We were all running around so much trying to take photos and find chalks just so that we were able to finish on time (physical well-being), but when it was all over we felt a great sense of achievement having completed the task at hand (spiritual well-being).

Health Model explanation

This health model is Te Whare Tapa Wha which represents the Maori cultural
perspectives of a person's well-being. The key features are the keywords and simple definitions of each dimension which is also represented in a physical form.

I will apply the Te Whare Tapa Wha model of health to my well-being at my touch game last week. Last week Tuesday at our touch game we were able to meet up with new and old friends from the other teams which positively affected our social well being as we were able to create a stronger bond with them after having a few talks and catching up. We were very happy when we played our first game because we were able to win, which affected our Mental/emotional well being very positively. Unfortunately as the next game came around we were unable to win which negatively affected our spiritual well-being in a way where we felt no sense of achievement. Although, our physical well-being was enhanced in a positive way because we all had the ability to move and run around.

  • No effort

Level - 2 “Involvement”
  • Listens and follows directions

Level - 3 “Self-Responsibility”
  • Shows respect

Level - 4 “Caring”

  • Exhibits all of level 3 (Self-Responsibility)

Level - 5
  • Trying these ideas in other areas of life
  • Being a role model
  • Transfer to outside physical education and health

What is Social Responsibility?

In my last couple of classes, we have been learning about
"Social Responsibility”. We based our learning of the Don Hellison
social responsibility model. Where our Social Responsibility qualities
place us on different “Levels”. Ranging from level 0 (being the worst)
to level 5 (being the best)

What level were you during our lesson and why?

When I think about the last couple of lessons
I could tell that I was exhibiting some level 2 qualities.
I could tell that I was a level 2 because although I listened
and followed instructions I didn't quite show any level 3 qualities.

What could you do in order to improve your level of Social Responsibility for the next lesson?

If I'm wanting to exhibit some level 3 qualities in my next lesson
I need to show some more respect and make good choices.
