Summer learning Journey - The dawn of the new Era....

5 Phrases:
1. Nau mai ki Aotearoa.
2. ____ is my name.
3. What is your name?
4. He pai taku ki te takaro i te whutupaoro.
5.Where do you come from?

English:
1. Welcome to New Zealand
2. Limi is my name.
3. What is your name?
4. I like to play rugby.
5. Where do you come from?

Maori:
1. Nau mai ki Aotearoa.
2. Ko Limi toku ingoa
3. he aha to ingoa?
4. He pai taku ki te takaro i te whutupaoro.
5. no hea koe?

Activity 2 : Tell us three fun things that you can do as a visitor in Waitangi. Which one would you like to do the most?

Unfortunately the site that was provided by the summer learning journey says that it is unsafe to enter the link. So I am unable to complete this activity.

Activity 3 : Write four questions that you would ask Bill Kini.

one question I would ask Bill Kini is if he got nervous every time he was getting ready to box. another question i would ask is how much time out of his day did he have to use for practicing boxing? and my last question would be to describe his feeling when he won the gold medal for heavyweight boxing.

Hi Limiteti,

Ruby here from the Summer Learning Journey team! It's great to see that you've been working away on these activities. Well done!

Activity 1: Great work translating those sentences. I really like how you have included all three versions of the sentences on your blog. That was some good thinking!

Activity 2: That's unfortunate that the website wasn't working for you! It might have been getting an update. Here is the link, try again! http://www.waitangi.org.nz/

Bonus Activity: Great questions! I like how they are open ended and will be answered with more than a yes or no. Can you think of one more question? The activity asked for 4 questions and you've only got 3! :)

I look forward to reading more of your blog over summer.
Cheers,
Ruby.
