Activity 3 : Feast or famine

Day 3 : Wednesday 8th January
Activity 3 : Feast or famine

Image result for feast or famine

At this moment in my life I would 100% participate in a 20 or 40 hour famine. I personally have never been able to participate in one and was only offered the opportunity once in my life. at that time I never took the option because I couldn't ever see my self surviving for that long without eating. Although as time went on I realised that many people do 20 - 100 hours (and more) famine, but they do not have a choice. I realise now that many people are surviving everyday with hours and hours of food and if by not eating for only 20 or 40 hours gets money raised for charity, then I would definitely do it.

If I had the chance to write my own movie I would hope that it would be an interesting one. My movie would be titled "Other Half",  Jennifer, and with the death of her mother and discovery of her twin sister, Jennifer sets off to find this "twin sister", and with a mass murderer on the loose what she finds might not be everything she wished for. The main character will be Jennifer a typical teenager living a normal life until one day her mother dies by a car accident, leaving Jennifer to live with her grand parents, with her mothers death she didn't take much attention to the mass murderer reported on the news. while clearing her mothers stuff Jennifer discovers some amazing news, she was a twin, who was apparently stolen at birth. Jennifer sets out to find this long lost sister of hers, but with the mass murderer killing daily, Jennifer's findings might not be as appealing as she may think.

Image result for work or study

I've thought about this many times before and when I was little I wanted to be a lawyer, but now that I see how much of an impact a teacher has to many peoples lives its really opened my eyes up to that option. After school I want to either study to become a teacher or train to become a police officer, but in some time I know that I will switch over to either job after a couple of years. If I was too keep studying straight after school I would find a part-time job that doesn't clash with my classes. Although, the future is forever a mystery and maybe ill change my mind by the time I get to year 13, but all I know now is that I'll learn to earn.

Activity 3 : Need for speed

Day 3 : Wednesday 1st January
Activity 3 : Need for speed

This is my "speedy vehicle", I designed it to look like a normal bike but really its the fastest thing ever created. It's made from special metals found from the planet Pluto (also known as the dwarf planet). The special metal becomes hard and firm when not used, but when in use it becomes as light as air and moves faster than light. Its also got boosters at the back to add to the speed (it makes me go 2x faster when in use). The yellow bit in the middle is how I activate my bike, making its that only I can use it (its got my special butt print). Also when I pick up the bike by the seat (yellow bit) it all comes together and folds itself into the seat, and when pressed twice it will pop open and come together as the bike.

Activity 2 : Printing prosthetics

Image result for 3d printing prosthetics

One thing I learned from watching the video was that there is a global community of volunteers that use 3D design software and 3D printers to create prosthetics for many children and adults that are missing fingers, wrist, hands or even palms. The one thing that surprised me was that many modern prosthetics cost over thousands of dollars and they give the ones they create away from as little as nothing (people get it for free) to under $100 dollars. I think what they are doing is really amazing, I love it so much, and I support them 100% !!!

Image result for tiny house nz

If I was to ever have the chance to live in a little house I don't think I would take that opportunity. Watching the little tours of each house was really cool and fun but I don't think I could ever live in a space that small. I;m a very unorganised and messy type of person and if I don't think I would be able to fit all my stuff in that small space. I've grown up in small but spacious houses but nothing to that extent. Although I love the designs and how they made it so that there is more room with less space, also the fact that everything is in close distance. Although I wouldn't really like to have the toilet so close to my kitchen, and because of those reasons (and some others) I don't think I would ever live in a small house, even thought it looks so cool and fun.

Image result for the absolutely true diary of a part time indian

(I don't think I've ever written a review before, I don't even know what a review is)

Over the years I've read many many books, and I've enjoyed almost all of them. Today I'll be writing about a book that I've only read recently but has quickly become one of my favourites, and the title of this book is"the absolutely true diary of a part time Indian". The book is about a young native Indian who is trying to find his "hope". The boy, known as Junior, was born on a Reservation where all his friends and family grew up, in the book he tells us about his experience on the Reservation and how he copes when everything goes bad. We then follow him on his journey to a different school, a richer school. The book talks about many things like family, racism, violence, alcohol, death, dreams, love and even poverty. I love this book for many reasons and I would 10/10 command this book to anyone who wants to read it.

Today is the 25th of December and if you don't know what that means, ITS CHRISTMAS!!!!. Every year when I was growing up we always had a Christmas tree and some presents. Although as time went on, and we grew older the Christmas spirit in my family slowly died to the point where we would do nothing at all. When the clock struck 12 at midnight I decided that today I would make try bring back the Christmas spirit we grew up with. We didn't have much but with someone old fairy lights I had, I made a little tree on the wall (looks similar to the second photo). Although instead of a start I added a photo of me, but they are basically the same thing. I went sleep and woke up at 10, after waking up I decided to get dressed into a green and red tutu, with a red long-sleeve and a Santa hat. It wasn't the best costume but it was really fun to see everyone reaction, my family started calling me the elf of our family. I then decided to make lunch for everyone and with the help of my older sister we decorated the table and called everyone to the kitchen. Even though it wasn't much and we didn't get any presents this year, the fact that I had all my family there was good enough. It's not whats under the Christmas tree that matters, its who's around it! I'm really enjoying my Christmas this year and I know that I brought back the Christmas spirit to my little family.

Activity 1 : The right to vote

The lovely, beautiful and amazing young woman you see in the photo above is me. I feel like the government should replace Kate Sheppard's photo with mine because I have a really cute smile, I suit the light blue colour of the $10 dollar note, I'm also very nice and funny. I know that I have not done anything well and amazing like Kate Sheppard to earn the opportunity to have my face on a $10 dollar bill (or any money note), but its nice to dream.

Interview
Limi's story

If I able to interview any basketball play of my choice I would want to interview Lamelo Ball. Playing for the Illawarra hawks, Lamello Ball is a very famous basketball player, with over 5 million Instagram followers he is not only a basketball player but an influencer as well. If I was given the chance to interview him I would ask him these 5 questions. the first question would be "what inspired you to become a basketball player", the second would be "if you were to choose any other career pathway, what would it be?". Then I would ask "if you were able to switch your current team, what team would you switch to?", my fourth question would be "are you planning on leaving the basketball industry any time soon?", and for my final question I would ask him "what are 3 things you believe people need to be successful.

My 5 Questions:

1. What inspired you to become a basketball player
2. If you were to choose any other career pathway, what would it be?
3. If you were able to switch you current team, what team would you switch to?
4. Are you planning on leaving the basketball industry any time soon?
5. What are 3 things you believe people need to be successful.

If I was a superhero
Limi's story

If I was a superhero and had to choose 3 super powers of my choice it would be very easy. One superpower I would choose would have to be invisibility (the power to go invisible), I would want that super power because it would help me when sneaking up on "bad guys", giving me the advantage to capture them with ease. Another superpower I would have would be to read minds, I would have this superpower so that when questioning "bad guys" I would know if the person is lying or not, and the last superpower I would have, would to have super speed. I would want super speed because if I was chasing after "bad guys" I would be able to catch up to them really fast.

Super powers:
1. Invisibility
2. Read minds
3. Super speed
