Peace Out! ( The 1960's )

Summer Learning Journey - Peace Out ( The 1960's )

Activity 1 : What is your favourite television show at the moment?

At this very moment my favourite television show would have to be Ellen Degeneres. It's about this woman who does really nice things to people she thinks deserves it. On weekdays she is aired on TV 1 every midday.

Activity 2 : Post three interesting facts about The Beatles Tour on your blog.

1. One girl badly hurt her leg from trying to climb the wire fence.
2. The people were trying to get over the wire fence so badly that a group of 30 police had to come and try calm them down, while also seeing that the fence was about to collapse.
3. Teen age girls pushed over police motorbikes and the beatles car was shunted backwards even with the hand brake on.

Activity 3 : Create a one-page poster about Peter Snell

I know that this was meant to be a one-page poster but when I tried to download it, it didn't work. It just kept saying " This file can not be downloaded."

Hey Limi
What an amazing piece of work you have done. In this activity what part did you find the hardest and why??

Kia ora Limi!

Fantastic work with these activities! I really enjoyed reading your facts about Peter Snell!

Ellen Degeneres is a very entertaining TV presenter to watch - she gets to interview the coolest famous people and gives the most amazing things away to deserving people. That sounds like a pretty cool job! How cool would it be to go to one of her shows one day? Do you have a favourite episode?

That Beatles tour sounded VERY crazy! It's amazing what people will do to see their favourite band perform. Have you ever been to a concert before? It's a cool experience seeing a band live.

Thanks for putting so much effort into your Peter Snell facts! Even though it is not a poster, I still love the way you have presented each of your facts with a picture and made it enjoyable to read. I was very amused by your first statement about people living under a rock if they hadn't heard of Peter Snell - it's true, he is a very famous athlete! Was there anything about Peter Snell that you learned that surprised you?

Nicky :)
