Activity 1 : Write a summary of the movie on your blog. If you’ve seen the movie, you can include your favourite part!. What is it about? Who are the main characters in the movie? What do they do in the movie? Where do they go?
Moana is a movie based on a man who is in many maori myths, his name is Maui. In the movie he becomes a friend with the main character, and her name is moana. Moana is said to be the next chief of her village but her heart is drawing her pass the reef. ( keep in mind they are never aloud to go past the reef ). The day that her Grandmother was passing her last words to Moana was to take the heart of Te Fiti and restore is with the help of Maui. ( the heart of Te fiti is a very important ston that Maui the demigod of the wind and see stole. now Moana's village is in danger coz everything is dying ) Moana was also chosen by the sea to restore the heart of Te Fiti. So moana sets off to find Maui and when she does she demands him to restore the heart, but he refuses. When he finally agrees they are set out on a mission to restore the heart, but on their way they come across many task that they have to complete and concor to carry on through to Te fiti. When they arrive Moana and Maui come across a big monster called Te Ka. ( Te Ka is a lava monster, Maui also has his hook by now ). Te Ka was in the way of the island of Te Fiti so Maui said to turn back but moana got over her head and said NO!. She then charged forward and when Te Ka striked Maui saved her by deflecting the shot with the hook. After that They made got into an argument then they made up. They got past Te Ka only to find out that Te Ka is the island of Te Fiti. When Moana put back the heart the lava fell off and it started to turn into flowers. Te Fiti repaired Maui's hook and everyone went back home. Well except Moana and her Village, they now voyager the seas looking for new lands to discover.
Activity 2 : What do you think would be the most interesting and/or challenging things about being a farmer? Would you would like to be a farmer when you are older. Why/why not? Give us, at least, two reasons to support your answer.
You have to get up early, you have to be committed to your job and do it everyday. Its cool how they shave the sheep.
No I don't want to be a farmer when Im older, for one its because i'm planning on being a lawyer and two because I don't think I would be able to handle such a big and important job.

Lyrics:
A dangerous plan, just this time a stranger's hand clutched in mine I'll take this chance, so call me blind I've been waiting all my life please don't scar this young heart just take my hand. I was made for loving you even though we may be hopeless hearts just passing through every bone screaming (I don't know what we should do) All I know is, darling, I was made for loving you. Hold me close through the night don't let me go, we'll be alright touch my soul and hold it tight I've been waiting all my life I won't scar your young heart just take my hand. Cause I was made for loving you even though we may be hopeless hearts just passing through every bone screaming I don't know what we should do all I know is, darling, I was made for loving you. Please don't go, I've been waiting so long oh you don't even know me at all but I was made for loving you. I was made for loving you even though we may be hopeless hearts just passing through every bone screaming I don't know what we should do all I know is darling I was made for loving you.

Kai ora Limi,
Amazing work that you have done so far. What is your second favourite song? Keep up the amazing work, Friend.
Malo e lelei Limiteti,
my name is Cia. I am a Ako Hiko Summer Learning Journey commentator who will be working with various bloggers over the summer break.
Activity 1:
I like that you’ve really taken the time to include some important aspects of the movie, just remember that a summary is often a brief overview. Perhaps you could include a spoiler alert for people who may not have seen the film yet.. Had you thought about what kinds of things you could say about the movie that won’t give away too much of the plot?
My favourite part of the movie was the music, the songs ‘We Know the Way’ and ‘I Am Moana’ really touched me. Do you have a favourite song from the movie?
Activity 2:
I agree with you completely! Being committed to any profession is a step in the right direction, great point! I too think it’d be difficult to get up very early in the morning to tend to the animals and land.
I hope you do become a lawyer, you’d be able to help many people through this profession. Do you know what kind of lawyer you want to be yet? There are a few different specialisations, maybe you can do a bit of research and let me know what you find!
Bonus Activity:
Thanks for being diligent about typing the lyrics of your favourite song! Maybe next time you could organise them into verse, chorus and bridge sections. It would make it easier to read as well as learn the song (especially when performing the song with others). I can see that you’ve made sure to include the name of the artists and song, do you know who wrote the song?
I appreciate you posting a link to the lyric video, I think I’ll give it a listen because I haven’t heard this one yet. My favourite song from Tori Kelly is called ‘Funny’ it was written by her and two other songwriters; Chuck Harmony and Claude Kelly. Here is a link to the song if you haven’t heard it before:

I love the message behind the song, let me know what you think in the comment section below!
