Personally I really enjoyed Week 1, Day 3, Activity 3, for that activity I created a poster of my brothers dream job and how I was going to help him achieve his goal, to me that was my favourite one because I really did like getting to know more about him, personally I also liked the recent activity where we said our points of views towards the Royal family's dance (but that definitely comes second). The activity I enjoyed the least would have to be when talking about people I look up to, mainly because there are not so many people I look up to and sometimes I look up to different people for different reasons which was really hard to choose from. Three things I learnt while completing the program was that...

1. I can do anything I put my mind to

2. I must learn to read instructions properly to get best results and do the activitys correctly

3. learning is more fun when not being forced and pressured to complete it

This program was an amazing experience and I loved every moment of it, although some times I was not able to submit my post on time due to personal reasons, I had a blast!. By saying that, I really can not think of anything they can improve on, and if they really are looking for something to change I know that it will only make these activitys much greater.

The quote I chose was “Winning doesn’t always mean being first. Winning means you’re doing better than you’ve done before. ” by Bonnie Blair. To me it really does mean a lot, like doing your best, way more important than coming first in a test or competition. To me the quote tells me that becoming the best you is more of a greater win than any competition out there. To me it means that to win you don't always have to beat or be better than others but just one-upping the old you is enough. To me that quote means so many things to me, because personally I have had situations where this quote would of really made an impact to me if I had read it before. Personally what Bonnie had said is something I've been trying to say to myself for a long time, I absolutely love this quote and I truly do feel like many people can learn something from it.

Personally I love the Royal family dance crew, I've always found their dances to be very different and cool in many ways, but I do think that there was some things that they should of changed. For starters I really do feel like the pink was an odd choice of colour, to me the females look like they are life-sized highlighters and the boys look like they have bright leather cushions on their chest. I also found it difficult to really see each dancer individually while they danced (which might of been their goal but i wouldn't know). I also found some of their dance moves very funny and odd, for example like when they had some of the girl hang from the boys necks like a chain, I couldn't help but find it amusing. Although I really loved the songs that they had chosen, from watching their previous dances it really is something they would dance to and not only do they dance well to that sort of music but the songs themselves were really good. Another thing I like was how in-sync they were, I really do think it made them look amazing and united like a true Royal Family.Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-50934894223724723102020-01-09T15:50:00.000+13:002020-01-12T18:07:49.615+13:00Activity 3 : Top secret street art Day 4 : Thursday 9th January

The two street arts I chose were the ones above, you can find them just streets away from each other in Christchurch. Some similarities I notice is that they are both using some very vibrant colours, like blue and yellow, I also notice that they have people (or a person) in both arts as well as the fact that each painting has another type of painting inside it. For example in the right photo the art is drawn inside the word love, and in the left there is a plane and other little things in the drawing of the person. Some differences I notice is that the left photo is drawn in a more realistic form and in the right photo they have drawn in a more cartoon like. Another thing is that on the left, the art is inside of a word (the word LOVE), and on the right the art is in the drawing of a woman. Both street arts are so amazing and beautiful and with all the colours it really captures a persons eye. Personally I really love the street art on the left, but like I said before both arts are really amazing and unique in its own way.Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-44367511185134609922020-01-09T15:48:00.000+13:002020-01-12T15:48:35.631+13:00Activity 2 : Try your own TapaDay 4 : Thursday 9th January
I tried to keep my Tapa simple, each row of triangles only has 7 of them, it wasn't by mistake but on purpose, I made sure to only keep 7 triangles in each row because it represents me and my siblings. Although if you look at my middle rows one has 7 and the other has 4. The space between the two represents time and how our sibling bond of 7 has gone down to 4. One of my older sisters passed away and my eldest brother and sister have gone to live their lives, leaving me and my 3 other siblings to my parents. Which is what the two flowers represent, my parents. I tried to keep my Tapa simple but yet hold a lot of meaning towards it. If I was not sick I think I could of done a better job but I feel like what I have is good enough to get my message across.Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-80136487210819969872020-01-09T01:00:00.000+13:002020-01-12T15:49:36.303+13:00Activity 1 : Fashion forwardDay 4 : Thursday 9th January

Twenty-seven names is a fashion company that was originally named "Love Lies Bleeding", but after discovering that their company name was copyrighted by another company in America they decided to chance their store name instead of wasting time (and probably money) dealing with a lawsuit. Trying to figure out a new name for the company they wrote down the names of the people who have backed up and stuck with the company every step of the way. writing down every name gave the 27 in total, giving them their now new company name "Twenty-Seven Names". From looking at their clothing brand I don't think their name goes with their clothes and I really do think they should change it. Although the story behind them coming up with their store name makes up for the odd but amazing decision.Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-36805572727338787522020-01-08T23:30:00.000+13:002020-01-12T15:49:14.928+13:00Activity 3 : Feast or famineDay 3 : Wednesday 8th January
At this moment in my life I would 100% participate in a 20 or 40 hour famine. I personally have never been able to participate in one and was only offered the opportunity once in my life. at that time I never took the option because I couldn't ever see my self surviving for that long without eating. Although as time went on I realised that many people do 20 - 100 hours (and more) famine, but they do not have a choice. I realise now that many people are surviving everyday with hours and hours of food and if by not eating for only 20 or 40 hours gets money raised for charity, then I would definitely do it.Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-32595649450009904302020-01-08T22:00:00.000+13:002020-01-09T18:17:17.113+13:00Activity 2 : Plot pointsDay 3 : Wednesday 8th January

If I had the chance to write my own movie I would hope that it would be an interesting one. My movie would be titled "Other Half", Jennifer, and with the death of her mother and discovery of her twin sister, Jennifer sets off to find this "twin sister", and with a mass murderer on the loose what she finds might not be everything she wished for. The main character will be Jennifer a typical teenager living a normal life until one day her mother dies by a car accident, leaving Jennifer to live with her grand parents, with her mothers death she didn't take much attention to the mass murderer reported on the news. while clearing her mothers stuff Jennifer discovers some amazing news, she was a twin, who was apparently stolen at birth. Jennifer sets out to find this long lost sister of hers, but with the mass murderer killing daily, Jennifer's findings might not be as appealing as she may think.

I've thought about this many times before and when I was little I wanted to be a lawyer, but now that I see how much of an impact a teacher has to many peoples lives its really opened my eyes up to that option. After school I want to either study to become a teacher or train to become a police officer, but in some time I know that I will switch over to either job after a couple of years. If I was too keep studying straight after school I would find a part-time job that doesn't clash with my classes. Although, the future is forever a mystery and maybe ill change my mind by the time I get to year 13, but all I know now is that I'll learn to earn.Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-41790902008317162772020-01-07T23:00:00.000+13:002020-01-08T13:24:34.353+13:00Activity 3 : Girl powerDay 2 : Tuesday 7th January
The role model I choose was none other than Jennifer Lawrence. Jennifer Lawrence is an amazing actor and person. I choose her as the role model I wanted to talk about because shes a very down to earth person and to me that is a quality that any role model should have. when I say "down to earth" I mean that she is not fake, and to me that I something I look up to. Jennifer is not only a very amusing person but she makes sure to say what she wants (even if its wrong or a little silly). I also look up to her because she is very beautiful and not only that, shes not afraid to show it. I love how confident she is and I love how far she's come in life, she pushed past all the negative things people said about her and now she had many amazing movies to show for her success, like The hunger games. Jennifer Lawrence is a very kind, funny but most of all inspirational person, the energy she gives out just fills me with joy and the way she carries herself is something I really look up to.Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-91180914095757283262020-01-07T21:00:00.000+13:002020-01-08T01:04:27.905+13:00Activity 2 : K-pop heroesDay 2 : Tuesday 7th January
BTS is an amazing and inspirational singing, song writing group but personally I do not like their music. I don't like their music mostly because I don't understand it (its mostly in another language), but I think that the "beats' that they use really flow and make the song somewhat enjoyable. The boys in the group are very attractive which is one of the reasons I (and many other people) like them. I also like their hairstyles, they are not only different from the everyday hairstyles I see in NZ but they also suit their clothing style and facial features. Personally I like BTS as a group and who they are (because after some videos of watching them, they seem like really nice and great people), but their music is something just not for me.Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-91829955369866783532020-01-07T01:30:00.000+13:002020-01-08T01:05:01.994+13:00Activity 1 : Getting strongerDay 2 : Tuesday 7th January

Dear diary,

Today is the 29th of July 2019. This is my first, of hopefully many more diary entries. Today was my birthday and I was had the most extraordinary day. I was met with smiles and hugs when waking up, from my brothers, sister and parents, which was really cool and amazing too see because it is something they do not usually do. Before I left to school my dad gave me some money which made my birthday more that 10 times better. Going to school I saw my friend Angelica (aka : Jell), she greeted me with warm hugs, a big smile and her whole bag full of lollies.... JUST FOR ME, it was about 9 o'clock in the morning and my day had already been made!, I was so happy and I didn't know how anything could get any better. My day carried on and with every "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" came a big smile and hug straight after that. I spent my lunch with the most important people to me and made plans to meet up with my best friends after school. When school came to an end I was so excited to go home because I couldn't wait to stay over at my friend house. Little did I know that some of my FAVOURITE cousins were coming over. Nafe and Nevaeh came over, brought me gifts and stayed with me until I had to leave to go to Kuraias house, the time we spent waiting, aka making tik toks and silly videos was the best. When I went to my best friends house I didn't want to seem rude so I just stuck with her until she told me to go into her room to place my bag down. They (her and her sister) took my phone and secretly recorded me as I went inside the room. They had done up the WHOLE ROOM, balloons, food, movies, lollies and chocolate, just everything I wanted and more. I always told them about how my dream birthday would just for me to be chilling with my important friends and family and snacking it out while watching movies. it was one of the most amazing nights and Im so glad that it happened. They then gave me a book that they got almost EVERYONE in my year group to sign!!!, it was so amazing and great that I cried. I had, had the best night and birthday of my life and I spent it with the most important people to me, it may not have been much but in the end I wouldn't have changed anything. Goodnight Diary.

My favourite game right now is volleyball!!!. I love volleyball so much, I love everything about it, from the thrill I get when serving to the nerves I get when spiking (well trying to spike). To play you need 2 teams (each team must have 6 players each), from there you need a net to separate both teams and a "volleyball" to pass back and forth from both teams. Although, no one can hold the ball, no person can hit the ball twice in a row, the maximum number of hits your team can do is 3 before you HAVE to send it over the net to the other side. To score a point you must hit the ball over the net and on the other teams side of the court, both teams are trying to see who can win a "set" (a set is basically a round that only ends when one team has reached 25 points, or is 2 points ahead when tying at 25 or more".That is just some simple rules for my favourite game, its not very easy to explain in the game words than it is to show, so I have linked a simple video to help explain my favourite game volleyball.
If our school ever offered up an underwater robotics club I would love to sign up!. At my school we were offered up a number of extra curricular activity's, one of them being "robotics". It may not be underwater robotics but I feel as though it has given me a taste of what "underwater robotics" would be like, but just a bit different. I loved my robotics club and I even competed in a competition with my school, although it was not for the competition but more for the fun and experience. Robotics unfortunately clashed with my sports so I had to let one go and I chose to finish robotics, but all the time I spent programming the bots and making them move were really the best, also after watching the video it made me miss the feeling I got while controlling the bot.

For my poster I tried to include many important things. I was sure to add a "person" where we can see their brain (representing mental well-being) and above their brain is a storm could, to show that they, at the moment have a negative mental well-being. Then I was sure to add some main things that John and Mike shared in their sites, but in picture forms. I placed a pair of gumboots with the letters that spell out "Friday" to represent gumboot Friday. I put the smiley face there too, to represent happiness because everyone deserves to be happy. I put the "key to life" because one of the sites that was given was called "key to life". I also put a piggy-bank with charity on it because all of the money donated is given to charity to help with kids mental health care. I put the people holding hands with the letters "P, M, H" because it stands for "Positive Mental Health" which is something that Mike and John are trying to help with. I made sure to place all those things around the person to show that there are many things around that are here to help when we are mentally unstable sometimes.Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-45077552441446864112020-01-02T21:37:00.000+13:002020-01-02T21:37:23.827+13:00Activity 2 : iMokoDay 4 : Thursday 2nd January
Hauora has 4 dimensions, mental and emotional (one), physical (two), spiritual (three) and social (four). For all these 4 dimensions I choose to do different things to keep my well-being strong and healthy. My methods for keeping my mental and emotional well-being strong is to always think positive, because I know that my thought will affect the way i feel emotionally (towards something). For my physical well-being I always try to be active and do sports, to strengthen my ability to move. I also like to honour my values and the things I believe in (e.g god and my cultural practices). For my social well-being I like to talk and bond with my family and friends. Most importantly I like to take some time alone and listen to music, to just care and focus on myself.Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-76178685452120372942020-01-02T20:39:00.000+13:002020-01-02T20:39:04.318+13:00Activity 1 : Medical MavericksDay 4 : Thursday 2nd January
For this activity I choose to read about the 2019 Nobel prize in physics, awarded to Michel Mayor. Michel was awarded the physics award for discovering an "for the discovery of an exoplanet orbiting a solar-type star" . Michel was born on January 12th 1942, in Lausanne, Switzerland and was 77 at the time. Also at the time of receiving the award, Michel Mayor was affiliated with the University of Geneva, in Geneva Switzerland. Although Michel was not the only one to receive the 2019 Nobel prize in physics. He also shared the award with his partner Didier Queloz, but it didn't stop there. Not only did they have to share the award with each other but also with James Pebbles (but only for the theoretical discoveries in physical cosmology). So Michel was only awarded 1/4 of the prize ( along with Didier, but James receiving 1/2 of the prize).Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-7591203120739445242020-01-01T12:54:00.001+13:002020-01-01T12:54:39.201+13:00Activity 3 : Need for speed Day 3 : Wednesday 1st January
This is my "speedy vehicle", I designed it to look like a normal bike but really its the fastest thing ever created. It's made from special metals found from the planet Pluto (also known as the dwarf planet). The special metal becomes hard and firm when not used, but when in use it becomes as light as air and moves faster than light. Its also got boosters at the back to add to the speed (it makes me go 2x faster when in use). The yellow bit in the middle is how I activate my bike, making its that only I can use it (its got my special butt print). Also when I pick up the bike by the seat (yellow bit) it all comes together and folds itself into the seat, and when pressed twice it will pop open and come together as the bike.Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-61101600709515031342020-01-01T04:44:00.000+13:002020-01-01T04:44:26.024+13:00Activity 2 : Printing prosthetics Day 3 : Wednesday 1st January

One thing I learned from watching the video was that there is a global community of volunteers that use 3D design software and 3D printers to create prosthetics for many children and adults that are missing fingers, wrist, hands or even palms. The one thing that surprised me was that many modern prosthetics cost over thousands of dollars and they give the ones they create away from as little as nothing (people get it for free) to under $100 dollars. I think what they are doing is really amazing, I love it so much, and I support them 100% !!!Limihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02427329973352934425noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918364788066890545.post-35671852252133203152020-01-01T04:28:00.000+13:002020-01-01T04:28:15.228+13:00Activity 1 : NanogirlDay 3 : Wednesday 1st January - Inventive Inventors
If I was to ever have the chance to live in a little house I don't think I would take that opportunity. Watching the little tours of each house was really cool and fun but I don't think I could ever live in a space that small. I;m a very unorganised and messy type of person and if I don't think I would be able to fit all my stuff in that small space. I've grown up in small but spacious houses but nothing to that extent. Although I love the designs and how they made it so that there is more room with less space, also the fact that everything is in close distance. Although I wouldn't really like to have the toilet so close to my kitchen, and because of those reasons (and some others) I don't think I would ever live in a small house, even thought it looks so cool and fun.
It may not seem like a challenge but something challenging (for me) that I had overcome was when I overcame the hate of others. When I say that I "overcame the hate of others" its mainly about how I didn't let the fact that people bullied me ruin the love and joy I liked to spread and show. Growing up I wasn't showed such love and appreciation (from people at school) that many people show me now days, but it was still very hard for me to let the past go and move forward. When I would get bullied by the other girls and boys I would really hate myself and I would wonder why am I so different? why do they pick on me like I don't have thoughts and feelings as well. Although as time went on I realised that everyone is different and that if I let the past affect my future then I wont get anywhere in life. After a year or so just doing my own thing, many kids would still have smart remarks about the things I did and was doing but I didn't let it stop me from reaching my goals. Even though none of then apologised to me personally I made sure to let them know that what they did to me was not ok, and now every time they talk or interact with me I talk like nothing happened because I know that they feel bad for what they did and I know that if I keep bringing up the past I will ever grow as a person. In some of the hardest moments of my life I learnt to forgive the people who brought me the most pain and right now, they are some of my greatest friends. To me, forgiving them was one of the most challenges I had ever overcome.
