Tane’s Diary                    10  June 2014

Day 1 :

It was a beautiful sunny morning it was so magnificent that I decided to take my friends on an adventure and when I told them they very excite they could not wait. First we got some food and water and spears,we got heaps because we think it’s going to be a long travel and we might be in trouble.When we all finished packing we put our stuff into your waka there are ten of them. It took us 15 minutes to get ready When we were leaving Hawaii every one wished us luck, we all left at 10:15.

Day 5 :

Before we reached samoa there was a humongous storm my friends and I did not notes until it hit us it felt like a tornado. When we got past the storm two of my best friends where killed we all prayed for them.Once we arrived at samoa we did not know what we where doing so we pulled up our waka’s up to the shore and went around the island. We saw a little boy and girl we went up to say hi but they both ran away we followed then, when they stopped we arrived in a village right in the centre of the island they both screamed mummy daddy and next thing we know the whole village surrounds us with their spears and they imprison us for a day until I tell them where sorry for scaring your children we just wanted to say hi but they ran away and we followed them and they led us to your village the father said then why didn't you tell us because it sounds like a misunderstanding.When they let us off they gave us some food and as we set off they wished us luck and sed safe trips to you all buy buy now.

Day 7 :

It was a long travel until we stopped at the cook island when we were there not far from shore we sour some people sharpening their spears I told my mates to hide but one of my friends was pulling up his boat so he could not hear me then one of the boys saw him and told his dad the dad walk up to him with his spear he was talking to him and asking him where  he came from when he did not speak the man killed him with his spear when he got killed his brother was crying for him he was going to go out but I stopped him and told him do you want to die out there like that like your brother if not then stay if you do it’s not my fault if you die out there so we left him to see what he would do and he chose the right choice to come with us.We were crawling on the ground so we would not get caught by another boy again when we were crawling I saw a snack it was staring right into my eye’s then it came at us I told them to get up and run but I looked behind the snake and not far there was a man so I said to them quietly no no don’t stand up but it was too late three of my mates stood up and the man saw them they ran but the man caught them then killed all three of them that was a day that we lost 6 men we all prayed as long as we could then we and killed the snake.We quietly got some food and water then we set off unknown and no one saw us

Day 12:

Not far until we got to the bay of islands we pulled up our wakas and went around and up the hills we saw no one so we decided to live here and make it our new home.That day my friends and I made a new home and new friends on the way but we will never forget the ones that have died.
